Foolishness of Atheism

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold [suppress] the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

– Romans 1:18-22

It has been said about renowned atheist speaker and top-selling author Christopher Hitchens that:

Calvin states that “the knowledge of God is naturally implanted in the human mind” and this is “confirmed also by the vain endeavors of the wicked to banish all fear of God from their minds.

All men of sound judgment will therefore hold, that a sense of Deity is indelibly engraven on the human heart. And that this belief is naturally engendered in all, and thoroughly fixed as it were in our very bones, is strikingly attested by the contumacy of the wicked, who, though they struggle furiously, are unable to extricate themselves from the fear of God. …For the world labors as much as it can to shake off all knowledge of God…
